Treaty of Ghent Peace Treaty Between USA And UK
Treaty of Ghent is a peace treaty signed between the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. The treaty was signed in Ghent, Belgium on 24th December in 1814, ended of the war of 1812 and largely restored the relationship between two warring countries. Due to the slow speed of communication of that time the news of treaty took two weeks to reach America and it reached when the Battle of New Orleans was over.
