Triskaidekaphobia Fear Of Number Thirteen
One may call it irrational, but it is an extremely common instance today to encounter a person who is absolutely terrified of the number thirteen, known in a single word as triskaidekaphobia. The origin of such a superstition may be traced variously to Christianity, Norse mythology or as far back as two centuries before Christ. To demarcate an exact era or region of its origin is as impossible as it is implausible, especially if one considers its phenomenal reach over several cultures across the globe.
