Michael Tilson Thomas Pianist San Francisco Symphony Director
Born in 1944, popularly known as MTT, Michael Tilson Thomas is a U S pianist, composer and instrumentalist. He is at present the music director of the San Francisco Symphony. He is currently music director of the San Francisco Symphony. Thomas was born and brought up in Los Angeles, California. Son of Broadway stage manager Ted Thomas he was the grandson of noted theater stars Boris and Bessie. His mother, Roberta Thomas, was a school history teacher.
