Corian Countertops are surface countertops made by DuPont. Corian is the registered trademark of the established and well-known brand of countertops produced by the U.S. based DuPont. Corian was first sold in 1967. The solid surface is made of acrylic polymer and alumina trihydrate, which was originally developed as an alternative to Formica. Like Formica, Corian may be scratched and burned too, but it is possible to rub out the marks to look good as new.
