Barbary Ape Tailless Monkey
The Binomial name of Barbary ape is Macaca sylvanus. The tailless specie of macaque is commonly called Barbary ape though it is truly a monkey (but tailless) and not an ape. Instead of calling it a monkey it is loosely called an ape perhaps because apes are tailless and Barbary Macaque is also tailless.
