Shannon, Ireland is a beautiful town that gets its name from the the river near which it stands. It was built alongside the newly established Shannon Airport, along with the Shannon Free Zone industrial estate. When it was being constructed it was meant to be a home for the thousands of workers at the airport as well as the surrounding industries and support services.
