Andrea Barrett MacArthur Award Pulitzer Prize Winner Servants Of The Map The Voyage of the Narwhal
The illustrious literary career of Andrea Barrett started when she did not cross even her thirties. She has many coveted awards in her kitty. These include the “MacArthur” award that she received in 2001 and her ground breaking work “Servants of the Map” that fetched her the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 2003. Andrea Barrett was also rewarded with the National Book Award for her literary work “Ship Fever and Other Stories” which she got in 1996. One of the noticeable features of her writing is that she repeats a character twice or thrice in several of her literary works. However, the repetition has not made the novels devoid of freshness as she has incorporated carefully crafted plots in each.
