Alessandro Scarlatti was born on May 2, 1660 in Sicily. He was an Italian Baroque composer who was renowned for his operas and chamber cantatas. He had two sons who Domenico Scarlatti and Pietro Filippo Scarlatti, who were also composers by profession. He was the founding father of an opera school named Neapolitan school.

Composer Scarlatti was born in Italy on 26th October in the year of 1685. His original name was Giuseppe Domenico Scarlatti. His birth place was in Naples. Music was in his family background as his father was also a composer and music teacher. One of his elder brothers Pietro Filippo Scarlatti was also a musician. Most probably the first music lesson of him started under the guidance of his father. The list of his other early teachers includes the name like Gaetano Greco, Francesco Gasparini and Barnardo Pasquini. Naturally, his style of music was influenced by all of them.
