Fred Rogers Center Officially Opened At The Campus Of St Vincent College To Remember His Life
Morning conference on electronic media and children, afternoon tours and a blessing ceremony in the evening marked the official opening of the Fred M. Rogers Center in Latrobe on October 2, 2008. The $14 million “green” building is located at the campus of the St. Vincent College. An interactive exhibit dedicated to commemorate the life and work of Fred Rogers was organized. Joanne Rogers, mentioned after the exhibit that the center keeps her husband alive.

Rogers Rangers Cavalry Company Snowshoes Battle At Fort William
Rogers Rangers was a company of cavalry, which came into existence during the chilly winter of 1755 with the jelling of colonial forces at Fort William Henry. The leader of the Rangers was Major Robert Rogers. They functioned mainly in the Lake Champlain and lake George area. At the time of the French and Indian war the Rangers were at the side of the British army. The Rangers would attack the French military while walking on the frozen rivers with their coarse snowshoes.
