Hanukkah Blessings Ritual Prayer Jewish Festival
Hanukkah Blessings are an integral part of the Hanukah or Chanukah that is an eight-day Jewish holiday that commences on the 25th day of Kislev according to the Hebrew calendar and may fall anytime during late November to late December. The festival is a celebration of the rededication of the Second Temple during the Maccabee rebellion. It is observed by lighting lights (candle, lamp or electric) on each night of the 8-day period in the manner of lighting one light on the first night, two on the second, three on the third and so on.
