The Alcan highway passes from Dawson Creek, British Columbia to Delta Junction, Alaska, via Whitehorse, Yukon. It is also known as Alaska Highway, Alaskan Highway, Alaska-Canadian Highway. In 1943, its length was recorded to be 2,451 kilometers or 1,523 mile long. The highway ends near milepost 1422 and there it meets the Richardson Highway in Delta Junction, Alaska, which is around 100 miles southeast of Fairbanks
