Quadrantid Meteor Natural Phenomena Visible In December January
Beginning towards the end of December and ending in the first week of January, the quadrantid meteor shower is rated highly among other meteor storms that are visible on earth during the course of the year. A meteor shower, also known as `meteor storms' and even `falling stars', takes place when tiny pieces of debris enter the atmosphere of the earth at very high velocity. Heated to a high temperature due to their friction with the earth's atmosphere, they vaporize and leave a streak of light for a short time. The light is caused by heat due to ram pressure generated while entering the atmosphere and not due to friction.
