Abraham Merritt was a famous author as well as a well known journalist. He was born on 20 January in 1884 in New Jersey. He studied law but his inclination towards writing made him to switch profession and he joined as a correspondent with The American Weekly. He worked as an assistant editor in the newspaper between 1912 and 1937. Later he became the editor of the Weekly, a post which he held till his death.
