Megans Law Name Registration Picture Publication Of Offender In Media
Megans Law is basically related to sex offenders, who commit such crimes. Their names are registered, the name, their picture, address and all other details pertaining to the offender are published in web sites, newspapers and all the media, so that people can recognize such person immediately and take necessary action to protect themselves and their children. It is most important for the parents of the children especially of girl child to know if any such sex offender is living around. This Law provides one such scope to the parents. The offenders are imposed with punishment for nine years or more.
