So far, the United States has been able to bag a total of 21 medals- seven gold, six silver and eight bronze! Monday night experienced the setting up of a new world and Olympic record by Michael Phelps in the 400 meter individual medley. Phelps took 4 minutes, 3.84 seconds to set up the record and to reward him with his third gold medal.
