Masterpiece Theatre is a television series in the genre of drama anthology. The series is produced by WGBH Boston. The show was premiered on PBS on 10th January 1971. The Conrad Novel Lord Jim was originally published in a series from October 1899 to November 1900 in Blackwoods magazine. The novel depicts the story of a young character Lord Jim who suffers from conflict at the time of emergency. The conflict naturally makes him numb and he fails to escape the emergency and suffers. He faces this same problem of character in Patna, a ship traveling to Mecca full of pilgrims, and throughout his life till he is killed because of this same indecision.
