He is young astronomer. He wants to save his planet Zenn-La from being destroyed. The planet is likely to face destruction from Galatus, a cosmic entity. In the comic book, it is shown that in order to save his planet Norrin agrees to work under Galatus. Galatus also promises to give him some of his cosmic powers.
