Bone Marrow is a soft, tender, sponge-like tissue, which is located in the center of bones. This vital tissue of the body produces white blood cells (WBC), red blood cells (RBC) and platelets. Its scientific name is medulla ossea. It is said to be living part of bones. There are two categories of bone marrow, red marrow and yellow marrow.
