Iranian Flag Marking Islamic Revolution
Iran adopted its recent Iranian flag on July 29, 1980 to mark the changes that the Islamic Revolution had brought to the nation. The flag contains three horizontal bands of green above white above red. The colors are symbolic of Islam, peace and courage respectively.
