The Verdict screenwriter is David Mamet. For those who dont know the story of The Verdict, its about a lawyer who tries his best to win a case involving medical illegalities. In the process he realizes that he was actually right in what he was doing. The Verdict is based on a novel written by Barry Reed. It is not a remake of the Don Seigel directed 1947 movie titled The Verdict.

revival of American Buffalo of David Mamet. The debut
of "American Buffalo" was done in the year 1977 with Kenneth
McMillan, Robert Duvall as well as John Savage. The new revival will be having
the co-stars as Cedric the Entertainer as well as Haley Joel Osment. The play
is also featuring a multiracial cast for the first time comprising of a
Caucasian, Latino as well as African American.
