Oregon Earthquake With 5.8 Magnitude
Pacific ocean, off Oregon coast in the United States of America, was struck by an 5.8 magnitude earthquake at 20:33 GMT on 20-11-2007. According to United States Geological Survey, location of this Oregon earthquake was 237 kms west of Bandon at a depth of 10 kms. Just three days before on 17-11-2007, Oregon region was struck by a magnitude 2 earthquake at 11:31 UTC located 50 kms SSE of Dalles originating at a depth of 13.7 kms. No loss of life and property has been reported from these earthquakes.

South Iceland Shakened After Strong Magnitude 6.6 Richter Scale Earthquake Hits Reyklavik

earthquake struck the city of Reyklavik in Southern Iceland. This earthquake damaged roads and
buildings. There were some injuries reported. It was unclear how many
casualties. The earthquake struck at 3:46pm with the epicenter adjacent to the
town of Selfoss.

Earthquake San Diego Hit Distant Region Of Cleveland National Forest Magnitude 4.1 Richter Scale
An average earthquake hit the distant region of the Cleveland National Forest situated in northern San Diego County on Monday 17th November 2008. It was stated by the United States Geological Survey that the magnitude of the earthquake was 4.1 and it hit at 4:35 a.m. around 20 miles east of the Riverside County community of Temecula and around 10 miles north of the Palomar Observatory. The observatory functioned by the California Institute of Technology which is situated in Pasadena was not opened at the time of hitting of the earthquake.

California Earthquake Mojave Desert Disaster
The California Earthquake, at the small town of Landers, in the Mojave Desert was an earthquake of magnitude 7.3 on the richter scale. It occurred at 4:57 a.m. on June 28, 1992. It was the state's largest earthquake since the Kern County earthquake in 1952, which measured 7.7 on the Richter scale. The aftershocks of this 1992 earthquake included the 6.4 magnitude Big Bear Earthquake. One person was killed, two people died of heart attacks and more than 400 people were injured and substantial damages occurred due to this earthquake.

Comet 17P Holmes Discovered By E. Holmes
Comet 17P/Holmes was discovered by E. Holmes of London, England. Holmes regularly observed the Andromeda galaxy or the M31. On November 6, 1892 evening, after making some observations on Jupiter in a sky that was not very conducive to sky watching, Holmes directed his 32-cm reflector telescope to a group of faint companions of Mu Andromeda and the nearby M31 galaxy as for one last look at the sky.
