Call Me Irresponsible Lyricist Sammy Cahn
Call Me Irresponsible is a song composed beautifully by Jimmy Van Heusen. The song was introduced in a film called Papa's Delicate Condition, released in 1963. It undoubtedly deserved the Academy Award, which it won for the years Best Original Song at the 36th Academy Awards. The lyrics of the song were written by Sammy Cahn, who henceforth has been popularly called theCall Me Irresponsible Lyricist. Cahn went on to become a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1972 and he later took over the presidency of that organization.

The Temptations Demise of Norman Whitefield Motown Lyricist Father Figure
The sudden news of the sad demise of Norman Whitefield, the Motown lyricist and producer, yesterday, September 16th, brought back The Temptations to the forefront again. Whitefield, the original founder of Motown in the 1960s, died in the United States at the age of 65 as a result of diabetes and various other ailments. From 1966 till 1974, he was the chief producer of The Temptations.
