Kentucky Governor Executive Head Of The US State
Kentucky Governor is the head of the executive branch in the U.S. State of Kentucky. As the executive Head of the State, the governor serves as the commander-in –chief of the states three defense forces- army, air force and navy. At present the office is headed by Democrat Steve Beshear who succeeded the Republican Ernie Fletcher, as on 6th November 2007.

Steve Beshear more appropriately called as Steven l Beshear was born on 21st September,1944 and has been the Democratic Governor elected in the 2007 Kentucky Gubernatorial election. Beshear had been the member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, the former Attorney General of Kentucky and the former Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky. However in the year 1987 he was not successful in his nomination for the Governor of Kentucky.
