Directed in 2007 by the director Julian Jarrold, Becoming Jane is a film based on the early life of the well known author Jane Austen, of Pride and Prejudice fame. This part is played in the film by the actress Anne Hathaway. Also part of the movie is a study of her relationships with Thomas L. Lefroy (enacted by James McAvoy, who won the BAFTA award). This movie was produced by several companies in collaboration among which were the Irish Film Board and BBC Films.
