The historical 1956 revolution also known as the Hungarian Revolution was actually a scathing protest against the anomalous policies of the reigning communist government of Hungary, (led by Mátyás Rákosi) entailing economic stagnation and subsequently a lowering of the standard of living of the people. Starting on October 23, this nation-wide protest spanned for a little less than one month i.e. November 10.

Elizabeth Bathory Hungarian Countess
Elizabeth Bathory was born in August 7th, 1560, approximately a hundred years after Vlad, the Impaler died. She died on August 21st, 1614. She was a Hungarian countess from the renowned Bathory family, which has been known for defending against the Ottoman Turks. One of her ancestors Prince Steven Bathory was even a commanding officer who helped Vlad Dracula. After her husband's death, she and four alleged collaborators were accused of torturing and killing dozens of girls and young women.

Conductor Georg was born on 21st October in the year of 1912 at Budapest, Hungary as Georg Stein. He took a training of piano along with composition with Ernst von Dohnanyi, Zoltan Kodaly and Bela Bartok. The lessons were taken at the Franz Liszt Academy of Budapest. This eminent Hungarian born English conductor performed his first concert at the age of twelve.
