Baseball Prospectus was established in 1996 by Gary Huckabay. While his first publication of the annual forecasts they recruited Clay Davenport, Rany Jarayerli, Christina Kahrl and Joe Sheehan. The Baseball Prospectus or BP is focused on sabermetric that is statistical analysis of the baseball (sport). Their reports are based on the priciples of Oakland Athletics. BP is regarded as a step towards the success to Bill James Baseball Abstract Series of Book (1980s).
