Ann Scott the famous French Novelist was born in Paris. Her mother was a photographer and her father was a French art trader. She was brought up in Paris and when she was twelve years old she met with band members of The Clash in London. Ann stayed in London from the young age of seventeen and had an addiction to drugs but went through rehabilitation. Prior to her coming to the profession of fashion modeling, she used to perform with some small bum groups.

Any medicinal derivative with narcotic alkaloids in opium is termed as Opiates. Scientific name of opium is Papaver setigerum. Medically they are depressant analgesics and chemically similar to opium extracted from poppy seeds. The opium alkaloids or the opiates which directly affect the central nervous system are morphine, codeine, thebaine and papavarine. There are 25 other types of alkaloids but they hardly affect the central nervous system, like noscapine and narceine etc.
