Harold Clayton Urey was an American Physicist Chemist. His ground-breaking research work on isotopes won him the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1934. Later he also laid down theories regarding planetary evolutions. He is widely recognized as the Deuterium Discoverer. Deuterium is a stable but rare isotope of hydrogen which has many special uses. It is also called Heavy Hydrogen and represented by the letter D.
