Edwin Herbert Hall was an American Physicist who discovered the Hall Effect in 1879. He was born on 7th November in 1855 in Great Falls, Maine in U.S.A. he completed his under graduate work at Bowdoin College of Brunswick, Maine. He completed his graduation in 1875 and obtained a Ph.D. in the year 1880. He then did his graduate work at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He also performed his seminal experiments there. He conducted his thermoelectric research at Harvard and also had written numerous textbooks on physics and laboratory manuals. He died on 20th November in 1938 in Cambridge, Massachusetts in U.S.

The Chicago Bears has the largest number of persons in this Hall of Fame . Canton was chosen as the location because American Professional Football Association , which later became known as NFL, was from Canton and its community successfully lobbied for the same.
