The United Methodist Church (UMC) traces its origin from the Methodist Movement of John Wesley in the 1700s in England.

MLS fully called as Michigan Lutheran Seminary, is a privately owned secondary high school that has got its affiliation with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod that is situated in Saginaw, Michigan. It imparts education to the students from all over the world. The total number of students was 275 in the year 2006 in the 9th to 12th grades, selected from 14 states, seven among twelve districts of the WELS, as well as three different countries.
