FutureGen Alliance Zero Emission Power Plant
FutureGen Alliance is a high tech project conducted by the United States Government to reduce the use of coal fuel and substitute it with hydrogen and electricity. They achieve this by carbon capture and storage, the main plant is being built in Mattoon Township, Coles County, Illinois. This would be a 275 megawatt power plant and the construction is to commence in 2009.

Three Wheeled Car CLEVER Compact Low Emission Vehicle
A three-wheeled car, jointly developed by researchers from different European countries and funded through EU project, has been unveiled recently. The name chosen for the vehicle is CLEVER from the name of the project Compact Low Emission Vehicle for Urban Transport Vehicle.

To the dismay of automakers and the Bush administration, California along with 16 other states received the legal sanction to cut down on auto emissions as a battle against global warming, ruled by a federal court in Fresno. The case originated in 2002 when a state law forcing automakers to decrease emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in new cars from 2009, was passed.
Climate Regions Emission Trading Cap And Trade Program To Commence from January 2012
Western States based Western Climate Initiative governments have put forward the design of their new regional market-based cap-and-trade program. It’s main intention is to reduce the climate changing greenhouse gas emissions by 15 % below 2005 levels by 2020 through the emissions trading program. Eminent environmental groups have appreciated the program recommendations and stretched their supports for the cause.
