Department Of Agriculture US Plans To Effect Country Of Origin Labeling To Prevent Unsafe Imports
From September 30 onwards, the country- of- origin labeling comes into the effect. The measure took lesser amount of time to come into effect because of the growing concerns on unsafe imports from China and Canada. The US Department of Agriculture informs that the companies are going to incur an additional amount of $2.5 billion for the first year as the retailers would now have to spend more money to market beef, pork and lamb.
