Barque of Dante Eugene Delacroix Oil Painting
The Barque of Dante is 1822 oil on canvas painting by Ferdinand Victor Eugene Delacriox. It is exhibited in Louvre in Paris, France. His paintings represent French Romanticism. In this and other Salon paintings Delacroix expresses a desire to move out of conventionalism without losing out on the classical flavor. It is exhibited in the Musse De Luxemberg, a museum of modern art. The painting was displayed in the museum several years before the Sardanapalus.
