Haskell used to study in a girls school at Connolly School of the Holy Child in Potomac. Later she attended Walter Johnson High in Bethesda Maryland, and graduated in the year 1994. Colleen Haskell took admission at the University of Georgia in Athens, and so studied abroad in London, after which she went to England and did her intern with the London Film Festival.
