The population was 1,160 at the 2000 census. The Cleveland Marathon is an annual marathon foot-race run in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. The 26.2 mile course begins at St. Clair Avenue and participants have eight hours in which to finish the race. The first edition was held in 1976.

The Cleveland Air Show is an indirect successor of the National Air Races. This Air Race was first held in 1929 in Cleveland as a mere competitive event. In 1964, the first air show took place at the Burke Lakefront Airport which was underwritten by Geo Steinbrenner.
