Professional Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival, Canton opened in Canton Ohio on 7th September in 1963. The process started with the induction of 17 charters. In 2007, most of the inductees played their professional part in the National Football League and the sole exceptions in the National Football League were the Buffalo Bills who played in the American Football League in 1970, when the American and the National Football League formed a team together.

Pro Football Hall Of Fame Of NFL At Canton Ohio For Limiting Induction
National Football League has created the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, USA on 7th September, 1963 with 17 charter inductees. It is to be noted that till 2007, all the inductees, barring one exception of Billy Shaw of Buffalo Bills, played a part of their professional career in the NFL. The Chicago Bears has the largest number of persons in this Hall of Fame . Canton was chosen as the location because American Professional Football Association , which later became known as NFL, was from Canton and its community successfully lobbied for the same.

Wagners Disease Canton Zurich Family Peculiar Type Lesion
In 1938 Hans Wager found that 13 members of a Canton Zurich family with an abnormal growth and a peculiar type lesion in the vitreous and retina of the eye. Later it was termed as Wagners disease or syndrome. The Wagers disease is thus familial and named after Hans Wager. In addition to this, in two consecutive years that is in 1960 and 1961 ten and five additional affected membranes were noticed respectively.
