Founded as Santa Maria del Puerto del Príncipe around 1515, Camagueys Island is a city and municipality in central Cuba and is Cubas third largest city. It is the capital of the Camagüey Province - the largest province of Cuba. Other towns include Florida and Nuevitas. It is mostly low lying, with no major hills or mountain ranges passing through the province.
