CMA Awards Country Music Recognition
The CMA Awards is known as the Country Music Association Awards and are voted on by business members of the Country Music Association. The CMA Awards should not be confused with the Academy of Country Music Awards, also known as ACM Awards. This Award debuted its presentation at an untelevised ceremony in Nashville's Municipal Auditorium in 1967. That night the entertainer of the year award went to Eddy Arnold.

CMA Nominees For Music
The Country Music Award or CMA nominees and winners are chosen in voting by industry professional members of the Country Music Association. Thus, award winners are honored by their peers in the music industry and so it is highly regarded and coveted by the recipients. The first CMA Awards Banquet and Show held in 1967 was not a televised event. In 1968 CMA Awards were taped by NBC-TV for re-broadcast on the Kraft Music Hall. In 1969 the first live television broadcast of the CMA Awards took place.
