WCIV News 4 Station ABC Associate
WCIV, News 4, station signed on in the year 1962 is the ABC associate for the Charleston, South Carolina television market. Its transmitter however, is located in Awendaw. The original license of WCIV was given to WTMA-TV; however, after some time the call letters were hanged to WCIV. It was the area's NBC associate until the year 1996. Finally it became an ABC associate due to the liking of its owner, All Britton Communications Company. The NBC association went to the previous ABC partner, WCBD-TV.

O Douglas Longest Serving Supreme Court Associate Justice
William Orville Douglas popularly known as O Douglas was a Supreme Court Associate Justice of United States. He became the longest-serving justice in the history of the Court by serving for a period of thirty-six years and seven months and retired on 12th November 1975. He was born on 16th October 1898 in Maine Township located in Minnesota. He was given several nicknames like The Lone Ranger and The Great Dissenter. He died on 19th January 1980 at the age of 81 and has been buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
