Shaken Baby Syndrome Life Threatening Head Trauma Caused By Whiplash
Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) is a life threatening head trauma or head injury caused by abusing a child. It happens when a baby or a small child is thrown, dropped, dealt a blow to the dead directly or shaken vigorously. Number of victims of SBS is increasing every year in the country. This mainly happens when a whiplash (neck sprains) type of a movement is applied to the child. It happens generally to the babies of less than 1 year. Most pathetically, the abusers are mainly the parents, babysitters or caregivers. They generally abuse like this, to stop babies’ constant crying. Finally the baby stops crying because his brain is damaged.

Premature Babies Born Before 37 Weeks Of Pregnancy
Premature Babies are those who born before 37 weeks of pregnancy. They are often called as Preemie. These babies are born with a low birth weight, generally ranges from 500gms to 2500gms. Their organs are often undeveloped as they dont get the time of development. They face difficulties with breathing as their lungs are immature, and thus prone to life threatening RDS or Respiratory Disease Syndrome. They are also prone to many harmful infections which result in developmental and learning disabilities later. As sometimes their brains remain underdeveloped, they belong to the risk group of CP or Cerebral Palsy.
