Wizard Of Oz Hanging Munchkinland Urban Legend
The 1939 Hollywood musical starring Judy Garland, based on the 1900 childrens novel of the same name, L Frank Baums The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz was the site of many filming accidents, namely, the fire in the Munchkinland scene that severely burned Margaret Hamilton who played The Wicked Witch Of The West who was required to vanish in a puff of smoke and a repeat of the incident when the scene was refilmed which left the stage hand standing in for Hamilton seriously injured.
