Casey Mears was born on March 12, 1978 in Bakersfield, California. By profession he is the driver for Hendrick Motorsports of the #5 Kellogg's/CARQUEST Chevrolet Impala SS in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. He also drives the #5 National Guard Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for JR Motorsports. He won his career first Nextel Cup on May 27, 2007 by winning Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte.
