Charlotte Bronte, a Victorian novelist wrote under the pseudonym, Currer Bell. She was born on April 21, 1816 in Thornton in Yorkshire, England. Born to Patrick Brunty and Maria Barnwell, she was the third child of the Bronte family.

Jane Eyre is a novel by Charlotte Bronte and is considered the strongest work of the novelist and one of the most British novels. It was first published by Smith, Elder & Company, London in 1847. it was originally published as Jane Eyre: An Autobiography under the pseudonym Currer Bell.
