The film was initially named as “Mera Bharat Mahan” which means my India is great however now it has been changed to “Heroes” which released during the month of October 2008. The producer of the movie namely Vikas Kapoor stated that the idea behind the title “Mera Bharat Mahan” was derived from logo present at the back of each and every truck of India. He further stated that they felt the title “Mera Bharat Mahan” seems to create an impact of a patriotic movie.
