Ancient Greece Olympics Pan Hellenic Event
The Ancient Greece Olympics included a set of athletic competitions held among the city-states of ancient Greece. The games began in 776 B.C in Olympia, Greece and were celebrated until 393 A.D. The Games were held at the intervals of four years and throughout its history several groups fought for control over the Games as it signified prestige and political advantage. The games were considered as one of the two central rituals in Ancient Greece, the other being the Eleusinian mysteries.
