Skip Caray, the broadcaster of the Atlanta Braves had passed away on Sunday, August 3. Caray’s age was 68. He died sleeping in his Atlanta home. Skip Caray was the son of the celebrated broadcaster Harry Caray.

A fourteen year old girl in Haiti, Marlie Casseus suffered from a cancer of the throat which not only hampered her breathing but terribly disfigured her face. Sponsored by the International Kids Fund, Marlie underwent a series of operations to remove the sixteen pound tumor from her face. The entire process was filmed into a television show called A new face for Marlie and was broadcast in the United States by the Discovery health channel on 6th July 2006
