Salmagundi is a salad dish, which originated in seventeenth century England. It included cooked meats, seafood, vegetables, fruits, nuts, leaves and flowers. Currently however the word is used figuratively to mean a miscellany or assortment of things. The word owes it origin to the French word salmigondis that means disparate assembly of things, people or ideas.

Huxley is regarded as an intellectual of highest rank and a leader of modern man. However he left this world on November 22, 1963 at the age of 69.

Michael John Harrison popularly known as M John Harrison is an author of British origin whose genre mainly includes fantasy, science fiction and literary fiction. He was born in July 26, 1945 in Warwickshire. His journey as a writer began after publication of his first story in the year 1966. Between the years 1968 and 1975 he had worked as a literary editor for the magazine New Worlds. Some of his works includes Viriconium which is a series of fantasies, a miscellany of short stories under the name Things That Never Happen and a novel of science fiction called Light.
