The Sargasso Sea is the name given to an elongated region in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean which is surrounded by ocean currents on all sides. It is the only sea which does not have any shores. In popular lore the sea is called a graveyard of ships and is considered a dangerous region which entangles and sucks life into its dark depths.
