Franklin Pierce was born on 23rd November,1804 near Hillsborough in New Hampshire which is now found under the Lake Franklin Pierce. He was the son of Benjamin Pierce, a politician of New Hampshire and Anna Kendrick. He was the seventh child and had four brothers and three sisters.

He got his early education at Hillsborough Centre and later at the age of 11 he attended Hancock Academy in Hancock. He enrolled in Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine for higher studies. He served as the President of USA from 1853 to 1857. He was the first President born in the 19th Century
