Barbary Ape Tailless Monkey
The Binomial name of Barbary ape is Macaca sylvanus. The tailless specie of macaque is commonly called Barbary ape though it is truly a monkey (but tailless) and not an ape. Instead of calling it a monkey it is loosely called an ape perhaps because apes are tailless and Barbary Macaque is also tailless. A full-grown Barbary ape weighs maximum of 13 kgs and 30 inches long. It is yellowish brown to gray with lighter undersides. Its front limbs are longer than its hind limbs. Its female specie is smaller than its male counterpart
